Finished Project: Socks

I have finally finished a pair of socks which have been two months in the making, as I have been working on other projects. I used Opal's 'Magic Rouge' yarn which is really more pink than red although looking at the photo, looks more like mellow yellow due to the poor lighting and the camera on my mobile phone. Talking about Popular TV Repeats-TV, actors, Big Brother, soaps, gossip, rumours, TV shows, reviews, pictures | MS

My favourite would be 'Life On Mars' followed by 'Dr Who'. I have also been a fan of 'Inspector Morse' but I'm so tired of seeing it now, the programme needs a break from the screens for a while. 'Star Trek' was also a favourite of mine for a long time.  Which are your favourites?

Have a great weekend.

Popular TV Repeats-TV, actors, Big Brother, soaps, gossip, rumours, TV shows, reviews, pictures | MS
Few want endless repeats littering the TV schedules. However, some shows have managed to become permanent fixtures. For example, Friends ended in 2004 but it's been on just about every day since then.Figures for E4 (or E-Friends, as I call it) reveal that Friends repeats still perform really well; it's an enduringly popular series. Even though it's been on hundreds of times (or so it seems) and everyone knows the stories, remembers the jokes and can probably repeat scenes word for word, people still love to watch it. But Friends isn't the only series on endless re-run as our gallery below shows. Check out the faves you've seen before and will watch again and again and again and again….What your are top repeats? Name the shows you can't get enough of here

National Stress Awareness Day

The experts say that we all need a bit of stress in our lives but if you're jumping with anxiety at each firework that goes off tonight, you're most probably suffering from too much stress.

Today is National Stress Awareness Day so if you are suffering from a more than healthy amount of stress, I hope this website helps.

I'd be interested to read what you do to help relieve stress.

Best wishes.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who has invited me to be their friend. This has prompted me to actually update this site/blog thingy. Since I last typed, I have .. become single and knitted five pairs of socks on DPNs. I prefer the latter to the former but such is life. I had greatly reduced my stash only to develop an addiction to sock wool and randomed dyed yarn. I tend to knit more now than crochet and cross-stitch because I'm more confident at knitting than crochet and it's easier to see wool stitches than aida squares. I will, hopefully, try to keep this site up to date as my friends have such great sites.  Have a great week.

Knit 1 Frog 1

I'm still trying to knit and crochet my way through all my wool stash which is going to take a long time.  The only thing which is keeping me going is that once it's all cleared,I've promised to buy myself the most cushiest, cuddliest wool for the project of my dreams. Back to the present, or near enough, I've just finished a small cushion using a pattern from JPFun.  I'm a member of this site and there are some great patterns for using up all those small amounts of wool.  Most of the patterns are for Worsted Weight but you can always adapt.  I've used the rectangular granny square and double crocheted the backing.  I stuffed the cushion with pot-pourri and added a chain loop to hang up the cushion.  I've posted a photo (sorry about the quality) and I hope you like it.

Here is the pattern for the rectangle ...

Two Needle Socks

I'm still learning to handle four double pointed needles but I really wanted to knit some socks.  Whilst searching, I found this brilliant pattern and knitted it using DK Wool.  The socks are really thick, fluffy and soft but you do have to sew them up with a flat seam.  This pattern can also be easily adapted to the size of your own feet.  If you've never knitted socks before, try this pattern. The pattern can be found on http://www.redlipstick.net/knit/ndlesock.html
